Chat GPT – Factual and Brilliant or Flawed and Brainless?

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and released in November 2022. “ChatGPT is scary good. We are not far from dangerously strong AI,” said Elon Musk, who was one of the founders of OpenAI.

ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool driven by AI technology that allows you to have human-like conversations and much more with the chatbot. The language model can answer questions and assist you with tasks, such as composing emails.

It is very effective and highly efficient for any person or any kind of company if it can be used in a proper way. However, to mitigate the legal, commercial, and reputational risks, some companies have implemented various measures, including, training employees on the appropriate usage of ChatGPT, emphasising that it is not without mistakes and that results should be verified through standard means. Some companies have developed policies that categorise ChatGPT usage into three groups: prohibited, permitted with authorisation, and generally permitted without prior approval.

Businesses that use ChatGPT without proper training and caution may unknowingly expose themselves to GDPR data breaches, resulting in significant fines, reputational damage, and legal action taken against them. As such, usage as a workplace tool without sufficient training and regulatory measures is ill-advised.

It is worth noting that ChatGPT and OpenAI collect a lot of information about you. Some of the data it collects, like your account details and device information, is pretty normal. Most sites do this. However, it also collects any personal information you enter in to the chatbot.

Chat GPT can be useful and efficient and there is no doubt despite having advantages and disadvantages it is a revolutionary invention for humans! However, we should not be dependable on it. We can take ideas from it, but we should still believe in our human thinking capabilities, our human intelligence, and our hard-working mentalities. We should always keep remembering that there is no AI or chatbot bigger than our human intelligence.
